The Reading Recovery® Program of Iowa (RRPI) provides the organizing structure that links national Reading Recovery organizations to the district and school levels of service to children. RRPI creates and supports a network of affiliated sites; provides initial training and ongoing professional development for Reading Recovery teacher leaders within these sites, and supports sites by providing technical services.

RRPI co-sponsors the Jacobson Center Reading Recovery and Comprehensive Literacy Academy, an approved conference by the Reading Recovery Council of North America, and other professional development opportunities for teachers and teacher leaders. RRPI is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of Reading Recovery in affiliated sites, conducting and critiquing research, and contributing to the work of North American Trainers Group and Reading Recovery Council of North America.
